The ever famous wizard is here, and his name is Harry Potter. Harry Potter, along with his new friends that attend Hogwarts, a school for witches and wizards, are Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The three friends spend their year with obstacles and challenges to overcome.
Harry Potter lives with his muggle aunt and uncle, they do not mention the fact that Harry's parents were killed by a powerful witch and wizard, rather, they would tell him that his parents were killed in a car accident. Harry has believed that his parents really did die in a car accident, but he does not know the real truth. Finally, he learns the real truth about himself when letters begin to come in for him. Even though the letters come in day after day, Harry's uncle does not let him read it. As each day passes by, the letters double. Finally, Harry learns who he really is and how his parents really died.
Harry goes to Hogwarts and meets both some pleasant and unpleasant people. With the people that Harry meets on the Hogwarts Express, he begins to learn more about the wizarding world that he really lives in. Once he arrives at school, Harry adjusts quickly to the fact that there are bullies just like the ones that bully him when he is at his aunt and uncle's house. Things change, and Harry becomes that hero type person.
Adjustments are made and so are some friends. School is different for him, as compared to when he went to boarding school in the muggle world. Time flies gquickly for Harry and he is more of the trouble-maker that can get away before he gets caught type. It's funny though, the people that are true trouble-makers that try to follow Harry and his friends always end up as the ones that get caught.
Then the question comes. Where does the philosopher's stone come in? Well, the philosopher's stone helps the all so powerul wizard who no longer has his own body and must use someone else's to be seen, and the one that killed Harry's parents, is the person that wants the stone to come back to life and finish his duty to kill Harry. Hermione, Ron, and Harry have some obstacles to overcome and meet, but they accomplish it to stop the stone from being taken. With skills that each person holds as a gift, they manage to have one person left behind after each challenge. Harry is the last one that must complete the task to save the lives of two witches and wizards who can only survive longer with the stone.
Harry meets the powerful wizard, and gets a taste of him. But in the end, he saves the stone and several lives. Harry becomes famous throughout the school, within one year. At the end of the year, he learns plenty of magic, and he learns more about his life.

In the movies, Daniel Radcliffe plays the role of Harry Potter, Emma Watson plays the role of the smart Hermione Granger, and Rupert Grint plays the role of Ron Weasley. These three people are excellent actors, but unforunately, by the time that the sixth and seventh book is written and a script is made, all three of them will at least be in their early twenties. That is something unforunate...
There are other characters such as Gary Oldman who plays the role of Harry's godfather and a prisoner escapee, David Thewlis as Professor Lupin, and Emma Thompson as Professor Trelwany. Michael Gambon plays the role of Professor Dumbledore after the tragic loss of Richard Harris who lost his battle to cancer in October of 2002. As each movie comes out, more characters will also be introduced.
Like the many other crazed Harry Potter fans, hopefully, you will be one of the people that will watch his movie and enjoy it!
